Bengalim da Índia

Adquiri em 2009 dois casais de Bengalins da Índia.

Como estou a iniciar, não tenho muita informação presente, contudo são aves granívoras mas devem ter sempre á disposição larvas da farinha ou búfalo. Dou-lhes também, uma papa feita de 50% de papa de exóticos e de 50% de papa insectívora

São aves que podem perfeitamente conviver com outros estrilídeos, durante a época de reprodução são bastante territoriais, não deixando outras aves aproximarem-se do seu ninho.

À semelhança do que acontece com os bicos de lacre e faces laranja, também gostam de bicar a terra do viveiro em busca de pequenos insectos.

Recently i bought two pairs of Red Avadavat, you can see them in the photo below.

As i am beginning, i have this much information, however birds are granivorous but should always be available mealworm or buffalo. I give them also a pope made 50% of pope of exotic and 50% of pope insectivorous.

They are birds that can perfectly coexist with other waxbills but during the breeding season are very territorial, while other birds close up of their nest.

As is the case with the common waxbill and orange cheeked, like to pick the land of the nursery in search of small insects.
